- Historic planning scope
- Planning strategy and submission support

- Advisory instruction completed
Background
A residential planning instruction in Greenwich required focused early advice to establish a credible route through the local planning process. Clear documentation, early strategy and steady engagement with the local authority were central to shaping the project before submission.

The Challenge
Residential planning work can appear straightforward from the outside, but the real challenge lies in the judgement required: understanding what the client wants, what the council is likely to accept and where the scheme may need to be refined before submission.

What We Did
This historic planning strategy and submission support was delivered through the specialist planning practice later acquired by GIR Group's directors.
The work helped frame the project, assemble the required information and guide the application through the local planning process.
The Outcome
The advisory instruction established a clearer planning route, bringing together the project objectives, application requirements and supporting information needed for progression through the local planning process.
Historical portfolio note
This historic commission was delivered by a specialist planning practice before GIR Group's current planning service was established. Interests in that practice were subsequently acquired by GIR Group's directors, and the project is included as part of the planning portfolio associated with that acquisition. It was not originally undertaken by GIR Group.
