Michael Evers
Chief Executive Officer · Director, GIR Group
Michael Evers is the Founder and CEO of GIR Group, leading the strategic direction, growth and commercial development of the business across its four core service areas: Technical Advisory, Construction, Fire and Planning.
He works closely with clients, professional teams and GIR’s senior leadership to shape the strategy for complex building, property and construction matters, with a particular focus on bringing clarity to projects where technical, commercial, regulatory and delivery issues overlap. His role spans key client relationships, business development, project strategy, risk management, commercial decision-making and the coordination of multidisciplinary teams from initial review through to resolution and delivery.
Michael has a broad professional background spanning construction, property development, commercial leadership and business growth. Before founding GIR, he held senior commercial and development roles, including Director of Development within the property sector and, earlier in his career, Sales Director within an international diamond business. This combination of technical, property and commercial experience informs his practical approach to problem-solving and client service.
He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and holds an MA from Birkbeck, University of London, together with an NVQ Level 7 in Construction Senior Management and an NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. He also holds GradIOSH status.
Michael’s approach reflects the core GIR philosophy: technically informed, evidence-led and commercially realistic. He believes clients should not simply be presented with problems, but given a clear understanding of the issue, the available options and a practical route to resolution.
As CEO, he is also responsible for the continued development of GIR as a multidisciplinary advisory and delivery group, with a focus on building long-term relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, law firms, developers, property owners, managing agents and other professional clients.
